RIO ROCCA
The name
RIO ROCCA comes from a valley in the province of Reggio Emilia which is particularly interesting for its geological formation and wilderness. The Rio Rocca grapes are carefully selected and manually harvested. The wine is not filtered, the use of sulfites and technology is minimum and no yeast is added. Our wine fermentation is natural and thus it respects the original qualities of the grapes.

BRUT NATURE
This grape variety comes originally from the Scandiano Hills of our Emilia Romagna region and it is very ancient dating back to XV century. This grape seemed condemned to extinction, but then some wise grape farmer decided to preserve its cultivation. In the Spumante version, this wine takes up a light straw yellow colour, it has a flowery taste which reminds of bread crust. Its pesistent acidic flavor defines this wine with perfect characteristics.

SPÈRGLE
This grape variety comes originally from the Scandiano Hills of our Emilia Romagna region and it is very ancient dating back to XV century. This grape seemed condemned to extinction, but then some wise grape farmer decided to preserve its cultivation. FRISANT BIANCO
This grape variety comes originally from the Scandiano Hills of our Emilia Romagna region and it is very ancient dating back to XV century. This grape seemed condemned to extinction, but then some wise grape farmer decided to preserve its cultivation. The sparkling version of this wine has a intense yellow color with a delicate scent of white flower and a fragrant taste. Its taste is harmonious and evenly bitter.

FRISANT ROSSO
Lambrusco Grasparossa is a typical grape variety which is cultivated in the hilly area between the Modena and Reggio Emilia provinces. Our product is made in an ‘ancient’ way: the re-fermentation in the bottle leaving the wine sediments. Since we skipped the disgorgement phase all the yeast stays in the wine prolonging its durability and sustainability.

CABERZMÈIN
It is the first wine that was created in 2007. It comes from a combination of Cabernet – Sauvignon and Marzemino grapes. The combination of these three grapes results in a in a wine that softens in its taste the strong tannin flavor.
The mixture of the different grapes produce a wine with excellent taste.

BERZMÈIN
Marzemino is one of the oldest Italian vine. Historically this type of vine has been cultivated in the north east of Italy and on the hills of Scandiano e Canossa at the feet of the Tuscan and Emilian Appennini mountain chain. While travelling in Italy, Mozart tasted and appreciated this wine that became his favourite. In a glass of our Berzmèin you will taste the kindness of the wine together with the essence of the terrain on which the vine is cultivated. It has a fruity taste which reminds of delicate violet flowers and tannin flavor.

OTHER PRODUCTS

 

ORGANIC GRAPE JUICE

Non- alcoholic GRAPE JUICES obtained pressing the grapes of our vineyard. After a short maceration of the skins at low temperature, the juice is pasteurized and bottled at warm temperatures. Produced without adding sulfites or other additives or preservatives. The juices should be tasted and drunk just as it is, or it can be used to prepare warm or cold beverages mixing it with cold or warm water. Can also be used to prepare ‘sughi’ /wine pudding. It represents a natural source of antioxidant, vitamins and minerals. We have both white grape juice produced with Suvignon Blanc grapes or red grape juice produced with Marzemino grapes.

 

AGRODOLCE

Our dressings are products that are similar to Balsamic Vinegar, but their production process, does not follow the established official guidelines. Our Agrodolce is obtained from our strictly organic Spergola and Marzemino grapes. Technologically the product comes from grape must which is slowly cooked in a huge open pot at very low heat. This allows a gradual concentration of the liquid through evaporation. The aging of the product occurs in oak barrels. During this phase the cooked must gradually acquires its typical flavor.
The result is a dressing of dark, shiny color, that has a pleasant scent and it is evenly bitter while its taste its not very sweet or acidic, but gently aromatic.
